Brainwasher și experimentarea de la Punk Apocalypse 2026
Continuăm prezentarea și analiza trupelor în ordinea urcării lor pe scena Punk Apocalypse 2026 cu Brainwasher care au cântat pe 6 februarie în clubul Quantic.
După ce Pinkpool a setat mood-ul pentru dans, Brainwasher a urcat și a menținut sentimentul, îndreptând însă puțin direcția din aria de pop mai mult spre punk, dar păstrând încă elemente funk și spiritul experimental. Sound-ul Brainwasher pleacă de la un stil de punk american, combinat cu elemente de groove și funk, și ajunge la grunge și garage rock. Un ton foarte psihedelic, care te transportă de la începutul anilor ’80 până la mijlocul anilor ’90. După cum au spus și ei pe scenă, nu este metal — „asta e rock”.

Energia Brainwasher, în schimb, a atins tavanul clubului.
Parcă asistam la un concurs de mișcare între trupa de pe scenă și publicul din fața scenei. Acest lucru face ca muzica lor să fie și mai impresionantă, pentru că una e să cânți bine când te concentrezi și alta e să cânți bine când pare că te chinui să îți faci numărul de pași pe ceas.

Versurile piesei “Bleached Brows” ne arata o fata mai putin dansanta a baietilor din Brainwasher. O atitudine de tipul “it’s all fun and games, until…” And I wish I lived a hundred years / To see the piggies disappear / The sleeping cities would catch on fire, reprezinta renuntarea, pentru ca dupa toate cele traite cand simti ca ai murit si ca nimic nu mai are rost, ce mai ramane de facut?! Dacă Fugazi și Turnstile începeau să experimenteze muzica în aceeași perioadă și decideau să facă un copil în România, copilul lor ar fi fost botezat Brainwasher.
